Bubbles and Nugget are more than characters — they are best friends in real life.
Bubbles is a blind beagle who experiences the world through sound, scent, and the steady presence of those he loves. Nugget is his constant companion — never focused on what makes him different, only on walking beside him. In real life, she serves as his seeing-eye partner and unwavering friend.
Their bond inspired the heart of this series: belonging isn’t about being the same — it’s about staying.
The stories were inspired in part by the mission of the nonprofit Bubbles the Blind Beagle, which promotes anti-bullying initiatives for school-aged children and advocates for animals with disabilities. Their work centers on compassion, inclusion, and the belief that differences are not deficits.
