Meet Amber

Amber Justis writes gentle, emotionally grounded stories that help children feel safe, seen, and brave. Inspired by the mission of Bubbles the Blind Beagle and the quiet power of friendship, her books explore belonging, change, courage, and connection in ways that invite meaningful conversations between children and the grown-ups who love them.

She lives in Grants Pass, Oregon, surrounded by six beloved beagles and a lively collection of rescue animals, including cats, goats, chickens, quail, pigs, and bunnies.

Outside of writing, Amber works in leadership within the behavioral health field, where she is deeply committed to creating environments rooted in compassion, dignity, and support.

She believes that even quiet stories can leave a lasting impact — and that love often shows up in the simplest ways.
